One of my blogging buddies has many, many great things to say about Torchlight 2. I may try it out if I have some money left over after my paychecks come through to pay bills and such.

My Witch Doctor is 21, Barbarian is 6 (lol). Both WoW accounts are currently temporarily frozen 'til I have the funds to pay for them, so, eeeh. Meanwhile, the time that's left on my TOR account goes to waste despite my Inquisitor being 36 or so -- desire for all the Rattataki ever is second to tossing flaming skulls at things. :S

Late congratulations on the writing gig, by the way, Caeryn.

No D3 for me. Always-on DRM is a no-go for me.

I pre-ordered Torchlight II after seeing a 10 minute video of the gameplay footage. That will more than satisfy my Diablo-like cravings.

Yeah, the only problem for me is all the models they use are built like 13 year olds, and that dampens any potential eroticism.

Eat a sammich, models! Grow some more thigh to wrap that sock around!

Edit: On further reflection, it may be the fault of photoshop-crazy art directors and not the models themselves. Either way.

A bunch of my TOR friends have disappeared to play it. I know because they're on Evolve & their statuses all say: Playing Diablo III.
And I am like "Hi!" And they say, "SHH. DEMONS."

One of my friends who usually is a regular on our Friday Night Imperial Runs was absent tonight & then texted me and to say that Diablo was eating his brain. Another of my friends DIDN'T SHOW UP FOR AN OPERATION ON THURSDAY NIGHT (I blame Diablo III). I think Kaphik knows who I am talking to. I joined an Imperial guild on a Sith Inquisitor I am leveling for fun & their officer logged on and said, "HOLY CRAPBALLS! There's no one here!" So the three of us that were on all went and RP'd together.

So I think people like Diablo III.
Me? I am still playing & writing about TOR.

Got a job at a grocery store in my parents' town so I'm there for the summer, though I have an interview on Tuesday at a museum about 30 min. from my actual home, so here's hoping. Working in the archives for the summer would be cool.

I rolled up a barbarian today and I'm in love with her, I might wind up playing that to 60 first. In WoW I just log on to post auctions, though my sub runs out ... today and I'm gonna hafta wait 'til a few paychecks have gone into the bank before I can pay for it again. I think I have a good two months left on TOR, and I'd like to have a level 50 toon before then but I don't see it happening because DIABLOOOO.

Real Genius is exactly that -- a perfect synthesis of hilarity, smarts, revenge, and awesomeness. The writing is some of the best hollywood has ever had to offer - timelessly funny, lewd and beautiful all at the same time. All in all, a 15/10.

Edit: Funny thing is, I was in one of the channels in game & someone said: "I love how the conference room on the Smuggler ship has a bar." I happened to be on the ship at the time so I ran to it, & said, "Dude. I totally thought that was the kitchen ... Firefly style." I completely didn't notice all of the tech on the one wall. I have had this ship for six months & I had NO IDEA.

I did not see Real Genius until I was much older and out of college. But I loved it all the same. It is quotable in all of the appropriate places, has all of the things that Sara mentioned, and has a love interest that has all of the things I loved about Sigourney Weaver's "Dana" from Ghostbusters as a love interest: she's not your typical, run of the mill, damsel in this tight t-shirt, female character.

Real Genius is up there with some of my favorite classic 1980's movies, but it doesn't take the cake over Clue:

Speaking of movies of my youth.

It is not great, but it is one of my favorite movies. This movie hit for me at just the right time. I was 15 years old when it came out. This was a movie about intelligent people doing interesting/fun stuff at college. They were smart and cool and in a place where smart was valued. I was not interested in stories about high school - this was college, a place I wanted to go. While I didn't end up going to a school like CalTech.. err, "Pacific Tech", this movie showed me that there were places where I could find like minded people my age. Too deep for a comedy like this? I think not.

It had Val Kilmer (cool from Top Secret!), William Atherton (the best "jerk" character actor of those days) and Michelle Meyrink and John Gries. The actor that plays Mitch is kind of a wooden plank, but hey.

I buckled and bought it. its such a treat to have 3 games i really enjoy playing. TOR rocks (RPS!), Diablo is delightful blast from the past, and WoW continues to be a good time as well.

Why just last night I played diablo a bit and then ran around as a jedi kngiht, all while having Real Genius playing in the background.
