I have no Or for today. But second day in a row!

So, I ran a level 10 dwarf hunter named Lasthunt through Deadmines. Being the aggro-magnet he is, he died a few times. The ungrateful Git didn't even thank me after I killed Cleef, just left without a word. I was a little miffed. Common courtesy is apparently dead? :P

Also, sore throats suck. But I'm getting better.

Now though... Zzzzzz.

I have a number of questions as well as ideas relating to my latest venture. I was gonna keep this in pms however, I want as many opinions as possible since this concept kind of sets a precedent. For those of you who haven't read my story I ask you give it a look. Long story short Silo possessed a Shaman so the Shaman wouldn't kill her. Nothing too sue-ish, Banshees do that.
The point in question for me personally (hence the scrutiny I'm putting it to) is the idea of Siloquay having access to Shamanism both to cover her now oocly being one as well as helping her maintain her cover. I ask Matojo about the more normal avenues, but I expected that the Loa (much like I would believe of natural spirits) don't like the rather unnatural unread.
The question to ask I suppose, is: do you guys believe there is any way of falsely replicating believable powers? Carnage suggested the old gods and it would certainly look shamanistic. I can't help but think that even excluding Silo that the powers themselves would reek of corruption. I'll probably go with it if no one has any other thoughts.
Which brings me back to my initial thought/ question: any ideas that might suit the situation without being outlandish and/ or lorebreaking?

My suggestion is nothing big and it has the potential to encourage new people to the realm.

Any story or event that you write up here, cross-post it on our official realm forum. A few of you already do cross-post to advertise your events, so for you guys, I say extend it to your stories and write-ups as well. And while we're at it, visual artists could revive the art thread.

While we all know RP is here and we have decent amounts, passers-by may not and seeing a couple (RP) or (Story) tags floating around the realm forum could go a long way. The absolute worst case scenario is nothing happens, maybe a troll or two flame a story, or an event is grieved [which we deal with anyway]. The best case scenario is that a few new people take notice, roll on the server and say hello.

Anyway, it's just something to consider.

Over the years, I've heard complaints - mainly, complaints about griefers, about crappy names and about stupid behaviour in /s and /y. I've basically heard a lot of complaining about behaviour that breaks Blizzard's Roleplaying Policy and, believe it or not, we aren't entirely powerless.

I challenge you, TB, to read [us.blizzard.com] and to start taking action.

When you see a name that doesn't belong on a roleplaying server (mcdudeman, moocowmoo, whatever)? Type /gm and report it.

When you see idiots yelling chatspeak across Dalaran? Type /gm and report it.

Whenever you see anything that breaks the Roleplaying Policy, report it.

If you can, be sure to warn the individuals as well: /w (name) ((Hi there, please read and review the Blizzard Roleplaying Policy here: [us.blizzard.com] - /y and /s must remain in-character. Thank you. ))

With the fall of the Lich King (at least to the rest of the world outside of the heroes who witnessed Bolvar's ascension to the ice throne), wouldn't there be a push from some circles within the Forsaken community to seek a final death at this point?

Five to ten years ago, I get it. If I had just been raised from the dead as a member of the Forsaken, I would understand the sense of duty. We need to aid the dark lady and the rest of the Horde in defeating the Lich King, who we pretty much believe to be responsible for this plague business. All the while, my existence is but a sad/slow torture as I carry no feelings from my life.

Now, with the Lich King destroyed. Why would I not be allowed to rest? Why would we all want to continue?

I can see where this may all be about power from Lady Sylvannis's standpoint. But if I were just a low ranking member of the Forsaken, I think I would greet a final death with open arms, and embrace the peace of death.

It's 2:30am and I should be sleeping, but I'm totally not for one reason or the other. So I make today's daily thread. Hopefully it won't eventually turn into me being flaily over this damn costume I'm working on for faire.

As an unrelated aside, I'm debating rolling one more alt here pre-Cataclysm, most likely Alliance. I'm thinking a spacegoat, but I haven't quite decided yet. We shall see! Now, though?

Hello all,

My friend and I have the Cataclysm blues and have decided to make one last haul through Azeroth before it is torn asunder! Therefore, we wanted to start on a new server neither of us had any toons on. Since I've never played on an RP server before, my suggestion was to hit one up as it might be fun. So I started doing a bit of research (starting level one toons across the lands to check out the locals). Supposedly, my friend has a distant acquaintance on this server and thus suggested we look into it.

Here is my issue. I only mainly checked out the horde side, but most everything seemed dead! I ran into maybe two people in Silvermoon, none in Brill, and a handful in Ogrimmar. Perhaps, I'm just choosing the wrong spots to find casual RP going on. It was even suggested that people would start playing along if you initiated it. I'm an extreme RP novice, but I tried my best to grumble, greet, shove, ask for directions and even at one point become indignent with people to get a reaction. Nada.

Is RP on this server non-existant? Everyone I asked online kindly directed me to Ratchet on Tuesday and Thursday nights (which I intend on visiting) and that was about it. No other events could be described.

I mean it isn't a huge deal, since we are starting out brand new. I was just kind of hoping for a new experience in the game and leveling while role playing seemed interesting.

Don't envy my Cataclysm beta access too much - Khydann and Keetana are now both stuck in voids between worlds, when I tried to send them through portals to Thunder Bluff and Org respectively; and the bug reporting tool is bugged, so it's currently impossible to - report bugs. XD

Just a friendly reminder that the /tbdf channel follows the TBDF ruleset, which is basically "play nice." If you see someone blatantly flaunting that, snap a screenie and send it my and Khydann's way, since proof is much more comforting to act on than word-of-mouth.

In other news, my father is attempting to disconnect the stove from the gas line today. Yeah, I'm a little worried, to be honest. I mean, he knows what he's doing, but I'd still rather a professional do it. However, our plumber is a lying liar and never showed up yesterday like he promised he would, so we don't have much choice in the matter.
