A little birdie told me that there will be a certain troll wandering about telling fortunes for folks who want them told, complete with a keepsake for the event. There's supposed to be some tauren fellow hanging about telling stories of the history of Azeroth to folks that want to hear them. There is also likely to be lots of dancing, drinks, food, and perhaps even some singing of bawdy songs.

Achates brought me here. She was the guildleader on our old RP/PvP server, and I really wanted an escape from PvP. The community on TBDF was friendly, and a good part of what kept me here, even after folks that came here to see what it was like went back to our old server. That, and I never got into the whole gank or be ganked PvP mindset.

Also depends on what the object is...it's easier to justify spending a lot on an original and one-of-a-kind piece of art than on something mass-market, for an example. You can think of it as an investment.

Exhausting. But I got my tricorn hat! Also: Photo with Shatner and Nimoy, photo and *hugs* with Dirk Benedict, and autographed Abney Park CD. Lots of pictures incoming. I did notice that there were fewer elaborate costumes this year, and less nudity. Economy, I guess. Masquerade winner group was awesome, though...amazingly elaborate Big Daddy and Little Sisters from BioShock.
